Black and White Base Set Information
Black and White Base is the first standard set from the Black & White series, released on April 25, 2011 (15 years ago) in the United States. Single Black and White Base booster packs on TCGPlayer cost $187.99 each. All standard sets include booster boxes, which today are selling for . If you break these down per pack, a Black and White Base booster box will get you booster packs for around each. Sealed booster boxes are less likely to be manipulated, so many consider them a safer purchase.
Black and White Base ETB Price & Value
Black and White Base doesn't have an Elite Trainer Box because ETBs didn't exist yet when it was released in April 2011. An Elite Trainer Box (ETB) is a retail box with booster packs, card sleeves, energy cards, dice, condition markers and a storage box, sold as an all-in-one way to start playing or collecting a set. The first Elite Trainer Box was made for Plasma Storm in February 2013, and almost every main set since has had one. To buy Black and White Base sealed today, see its booster pack and box prices on this page.
Black and White Base Booster Bundle Price and Price Per Booster Pack
The Pokémon Company International did not produce booster bundles for Black and White Base. The first set to include booster bundles was Lost Origin.
Black and White Base Build & Battle (Prerelease) Prices and Price Per Booster Pack
All standard Pokémon English TCG sets since Fates Collide have included a Build & Battle box. Before the main products release, retailers and shop owners have an opportunity to hold pre-release events. Each player attending receives a Build & Battle box as part of the event entrance fee. There are different sets; each set contains a special stamped card that anchors the theme.
Build and Battle boxes are another way to purchase packs as shops and the resale market offer them at different price points. There is no known market price for a Build & Battle box for Black and White Base.
What is the Black and White Base Card Trick?
When opening Black and White Base packs, you put 3 cards from the back to the front. You hold the cards with the back logo facing you. You peel 3 cards off from the cards closest to you and put them to the back. When you flip the cards over to reveal the front, you should see an energy card if you did this correctly. The rare card should be in the back.
